I have extreme difficulty in installing a networked HP laser jet 5n.
HX network installer installed on an X64 based PC and finds the printer. However the 3 options:
web check with HP fails to provide drivers
setup CD fails because there is no CD with x64 bit drivers
use drivers known to this PC (x64) also fails and asks for the windows 2003 server CD/DVD!! Insert the setup disk for x64 and it cannot find the missing bits which are: PCL5ERES.DLL HPLJ5N.GPD PJLMON.DLL STDNAMES.GPD TTFSUB.GPD UNIDRV.DLL UNIDRVUI.DLL UNIRES.DLL unidrv (help file)
I can install the printer via add/local so I know there are allegedly 64 bit drivers - as described by the HP web site BUT: I can find all the above via a search on my x64 pc but the HP installer states that they are not compatible with my OS!!
my queries are: 1) are they really 64 bit 2) does anyone have a link to 64 bit drivers for HP Laser Jets (inc the 5n) ?
